Access Card to Blue Hills Ski Area

We’re excited to have RFID (radio frequency identification) technology at Blue Hills Ski Area to streamline access for season passes, lessons, and lift tickets! Here’s what you need to know about using your ACCESS CARD:

  • Every guest to Blue Hills Ski Area needs a lift ticket or season pass to access the snow.
  • All products—season passes, lift tickets, and lessons—must be loaded onto an ACCESS CARD. Keep your ACCESS CARD in a left pocket by itself for quick and easy scanning by our staff.
  • Avoid placing your ACCESS CARD in the same pocket as cell phones, credit cards, or RFID cards from other ski areas, as these items can interfere with its readability.
  • Your ACCESS CARD is reusable and reloadable, allowing you to add new products online anytime.
  • With your ACCESS CARD you can head straight to your lesson or the lift, making your experience at Blue Hills more convenient than ever.
  • DO keep your card and reload tickets onto your ACCESS CARD online to save time
  • DO carry your ACCESS CARD in a pocket by itself. A sleeve or chest pocket is best.
  • DO be sure that you have your own ACCESS CARD because they are non-transferable.
  • DO NOT place your ACCESS CARD in a pocket with your cell phone, credit cards or keys.
  • DO NOT carry multiple ACCESS CARDES when going on a lift..
  • DO NOT forget, lose or damage your ACCESS CARD. There is a $10 fee to obtain a new card.
  • DO NOT punch a hole in your ACCESS CARD, it will damage the RFID technology.

Cashless Ski Mountain

We’ve upgraded our systems resort-wide to be able to accept Apple, Samsung and Google Pay, as well as continuing to accept all major credit cards. We no longer deal in cash except in food and beverage services. The best way to purchase your lessons, rental equipment, tickets, tubing is online BEFORE you arrive at the ski area.

Navigating Rentals

  • Book in Advance: All rental equipment and outerwear need to be booked online in advance.
  • Proceed to Rental Area: Once at Blue Hills, you can then proceed to our rental area where our friendly staff will set you up for a day on the hill.
  • Have Your Access Card Ready: Present your RFID Access Card when you arrive at the rental shop. If it is your first time visiting the ski area and you need a RFID ACCESS CARD you can get from one of our Blue Hills ambassadors or our rental staff will encode one for you. Our rental staff will use it to look up your order.
  • Visiting on a Weekend or Holiday: Expect longer than normal lines. Get here early (at least an hour early if you are taking a lesson) to reduce stress.

Your ticket or pass is yours alone. Sharing it with someone else will result in the loss of privileges for both parties, with no refunds.

Our Specialties

We specialize in introducing individuals of all ages to experiencing skiing and riding for the first time as well as those looking to improve their skills or take some quick turns. We have a full fleet of Head rental equipment and offer lesson programs for all ages and abilities, including private and group lessons.

Explore our dining options to find the perfect place to fuel your adventure at the ski area. From waffles at our Slopeside Shack at the base of our learning area to the classic chicken fingers and fries in our lodge, to a pizza and beverage at the Lower Bar we have something for everyone.

Blue Hills has installed state-of-the-art induction lighting on a number of trails that is both environmentally friendly and gives a fabulous view at night.
