Dear Friends –
Summer has flown by and yes it is a warm one today, but I wanted to share a little update on Blue Hills – give it a read, grab your pass then enjoy your August!
I am incredibly thankful with how the first season at Blue Hills went and grateful for everyone’s support. We have been hard at work this off-season enhancing what we started last year and doubling down on our commitment to provide the best experience for the Greater Boston community at Blue Hills to ski, ride, and tube all winter long.
Here’s a sneak peak at what’s new:
First, with the exciting news – we are planning to put in two new surface lifts at Blue Hills! Details to come, but this has all the intents to enhance the experience and will service both the beginners and expert skiers alike!
We continue to enhance the on-hill experience with additional upgrades to the snowmaking system including the purchase of more snow guns and a tractor, doing some drainage work and some extensions to the pipelines. All of this should reflect in better conditions, from open to close. The rental shop will feature a new layout, the purchase of more rental equipment, including Gore-Tex clothing and improved offerings in our retail store. The main lodge has undergone a facelift as has the cafeteria and we believe this will provide a better customer experience. We’ll also be rolling out a full event calendar, with fun for all ages, all winter long. Last but not least, tubing was very well-received and further enhancements are planned here, including a dedicated F&B outpost!
We’re hoping that you’ll come join us at Blue Hills this winter. Please consider purchasing a season pass or a seasonal lesson product for your family. We’ve tried very hard to keep prices flat with last year’s early bird rate – but be mindful that prices will go up after Labor Day, so now is the best time to buy.
Thank you for your support! Think cooler temps 🙂
Dreaming of Snow,
Geoff
