Mid-November Update
Friends,
It’s an exciting time at Blue Hills!
I wanted to do a mid-November update as we’ve been a little quiet. We’ve been working behind-the-scenes and we are so excited for the upcoming ski and snowboard season.
First, a special shout out to the Mountain Ops crew as they have been extremely busy! Over the past month we have:
- Connected and significantly increased our water supply
- Installed mounts on Patriots and Big Blue for our new snow guns
- Begun the process of laying new pipes for increased snowmaking capacity on Patriots
- Completed various items off the pre-season ski and snowboard checklist
The next week or so is going to be very exciting! Our new Head ski and snowboard rental equipment arrives, our first delivery of HKD snow guns occurs and the Pisten Bully groomers will be delivered. Follow along as we share pictures of all the snow-making fun!
We’ve returned the Base Lodge to its original brown and white color to resemble a European Alpine Chalet, while giving virtually all of our structures a fresh coat of paint, both inside and out. The rental building will now offer a small retail store and we’ve upgraded our tuning center with Wintersteiger equipment – c’mon over and give your skis or board a pre-season tune!
Lastly, if you haven’t picked up your season pass or enrolled in our seasonal ski school program, don’t hesitate much longer. (Season pass prices go up 11/25)
Think Snow,
Geoff
